I. What is membrane material?

II. What is the difference between acrylic coating and PVDF coating on PVC membrane material?
The PVC membrane used in the membrane structure is a composite material formed by coating or laminating PVC (polyvinyl chloride) on polyester fabric (PES). The material of the base cloth and the weaving process mainly determine the tensile strength, tear resistance and other mechanical properties of the membrane. The coating layer of PVC (polyvinyl chloride) improves the performance of the membrane material to a certain extent; at the same time, the surface treatment of the outer coating further provides the membrane material with stain resistance, fire resistance, heat resistance, Physical properties such as durability and resistance to ultraviolet radiation, as well as increase the service life of the film.
In the past, the surface treatment of the outer coating of the PVC film is usually Acrylic. Because Acrylic is not chemically stable under ultraviolet radiation, it has insufficient durability and self-cleaning properties, so It is generally suitable for temporary membrane projects or those with low service life requirements.
On this basis, the membrane manufacturer uses polyvinyl difluoride (PVDF). The use of PVDF greatly improves the self-cleaning property, anti-aging property, stain resistance and durability of PVC film under ultraviolet radiation, so pvdf coated fabric has quickly become the leading product of PVC film.
