Applications and advantages of PVC membrane structure

Product description:

The fabric base material of PVC membrane material is polyester or polyamide fiber fabric, and the coating is polyvinyl chloride resin. Depending on the functional requirements, the weight of the coating should be between 400 and 1500g/.

Usage scenarios: Suitable for ordinary outdoor membrane structure buildings, such as parking sheds, landscape sketches, outdoor bleachers awnings, etc.

Advantages of membrane materials: completely non-toxic and odorless, non-flammable, strong corrosion resistance, easy to process, low cost and non-conductive.

Service life: generally 10 to 15 years.

Characteristics of PVC membrane structure:

The membrane material in the membrane structure building is a thin film material with good strength and flexibility. It is made of fibers woven into a fabric base material, and the two sides of the base material are processed and fixed with resin as a coating material. The center Fabric base materials are divided into polyester fiber and glass fiber, and the resins used as coating materials include polyvinyl chloride resin (PVC), silicone (silicon) and polytetrafluoroethylene resin (PTFE). Mechanically speaking, fabric base materials and coating materials respectively have functional properties that affect the following. Fabric substrate - tensile strength, tear strength, heat resistance, durability, fire resistance. Coating materials - weather resistance, antifouling, processability, water resistance, corrosion resistance, light transmittance.

1.The surface layer of PVC membrane material should have stable corrosion resistance and ultraviolet erosion resistance during the shelf life, and the surface should have self-bonding properties.

2.When the PVC membrane material reaches the melting point in a fire environment, a molten hole will appear. The boundary of the molten hole will burn and spread, but no open flame will occur. According to my country's GB8624 "Method for Classification of Combustion Performance of Building Materials", it is designated as a B1-level flame-retardant material.

3.The color of the PVC film material is milky white and translucent, with a light reflectivity of 75 to 85% and a film surface transmittance of 6 to 13%.

4.Aging resistance: The coating of PVC architectural membrane materials is added with unique light-stabilizing additives to prevent oxidative damage to the membrane materials from ultraviolet rays; antifungal agents prevent mold from eroding the membrane materials.

5.Weather resistance: When used in low temperature (-30°C) and high temperature (+70°C) environments, the membrane material remains soft and strong.

Advantages of PVC membrane structure:

1. Economical. The weight of membrane building roofs is only 1/30 of conventional steel roofs, which reduces the cost of walls and foundations. At the same time, the unique shape and night view effect of membrane buildings have obvious "architectural visibility" and commercial effects, and their price-benefit ratio is higher.

2. Energy saving. The membrane material has high reflectivity, low light absorption, and low thermal conductivity, which greatly prevents solar energy from entering the room. In addition, since the membrane material itself has good light transmittance (10%~20%), the translucency of the membrane material ensures appropriate natural slow scattered light illumination indoors. Building spaces can receive natural diffuse sunlight during the day, which can save a lot of energy used for lighting.

3. Self-cleaning. The protective coating applied on the surface of the membrane material, such as PVDF (polyvinylidene fluoride), is specifically resistant to high temperatures and is not sticky. In this way, dust falling on the surface of the membrane material can be naturally washed by rainwater to achieve a self-cleaning effect. .

4. Large-span unobstructed visual space. The weight of membrane materials used in membrane structures is only 1/30 of traditional building materials. Due to its light weight, membrane buildings can cover large spans of space without the need for internal supporting surfaces, which allows people to design and use them more flexibly and creatively. construction space. Moreover, since the cable-membrane structure provides stiffness through prestressing, the high tensile strength of the membrane material and the application of high-strength cables should achieve free and flexible large-span space structures, therefore, it is particularly suitable for sports venues, public facilities coverage, etc. Applications.

5. Shorter construction period. All processing and production in the membrane structure project can be completed in the factory according to the design, and only installation work is performed on site. Compared with the construction period of traditional buildings, it has incomparable advantages.

The artistry, economy and practicality of membrane structures are the reasons for the rapid development of membrane structures.
