I.What is gabardine fabric?

Gabardine is a tight twill wool fabric woven from combed wool yarn with a certain degree of water resistance. Also known as Gabieding, it is a transliteration of English. Suitable for raincoats, windbreakers, uniforms and casual wear. There are often twill weave, and the surface of the fabric presents steep twill stripes, with an angle of about 63°, which is a right twill, and weighs 270 to 320 g/m2. The light and thin texture is made of twill weave, called single-sided gabardine, and weighs 250 to 290 g/m2. The heavy texture is made of satin-backed tissue, called satin-backed gabardine, which is thick and fine, and weighs 330 to 380 g/m2. The gabardine surface is smooth and clean, the twill lines are clear and detailed, the hand feel is firm and firm, and the color is soft. The warp density is twice that of the weft, and the warp strength is high and durable. However, the parts that have been rubbed for a long time after wearing are easy to form aurora due to the flattening of the lines. Cotton gabardine is made of cotton yarn and is woven in the style of wool gabardine. Grey fabrics must be mercerized, dyed and other finishing processes. In addition, there are wool warp cotton weft gabardine and various chemical fiber pure and blended gabardine, whose style characteristics vary with the characteristics of the fibers.
