The performance of engineering grade reflective film belongs to the fourth-grade reflective film of JT-T279-1995 standard issued by the Ministry of Communications of the People's Republic of China. It is a durable sealed reflective film. This material has been successfully used to make traffic signs since the early 1950s. At present, engineering-grade reflective films still have certain applications in areas with small traffic and low-velocity vehicles.

Engineering-grade reflective vinyl material is suitable for traffic signs material on general roads, that is, the usual primary, secondary, tertiary, and fourth-grade roads and signs for temporary use. Generally divided into pressure-sensitive and thermal type two. Using the same type of ink, various patterns can be made using screen printing technology.

Uses: Guide signs; prohibition signs, warning signs and indication signs, and signs used in ordinary advertising.

Lifetime:

Generally, 3 to 7 years, depending on the manufacturer. Some manufacturers only provide seven years of retroreflective film, and the brightness retention after seven years is at least 50% of the initial brightness value.
